Welcome to The Golden State Academy
The Golden State Academy is an after school program that coaches students in speech and debate. Being a competitive team, we regularly take students to tournaments both locally and across the nation. We are a nationally recognized team, winning the National's Overall School of Excellence Award in 2016 and the 2021 CHSSA Middle School Coach of the Year (Victor Rivas Umana). Currently, our program is operating online but normally does classes out of three locations: Warm Springs, Evergreen & Cupertino. We have added a fourth location in Newark. Our goal is that by the end of the year students will be equipped with the ability to be confident in their communication abilities and challenge some of societies biggest issues.

At the Golden State Academy, we have one priority: ensuring our students have the right coaches, support and environment to thrive!
