NEW Beginner
This is an introductory class to public speaking and debate. The goal of this class is for all students to gain a basic understanding of the activity in a fun and positive environment. Though the class teaches both speech and debate, this class places a greater emphasis on speech than debate. This class is designed assuming that the student has not taken any speech and debate classes before and will cover the basics of public speaking.

returning Intermediate
Students who took our intermediate course of the last semester will get a chance to continue working on debate by working on more challenging topics of spar including introducing research into the event. We will also continue working on impromptu speaking and introduce students to oratorical interpretation which mixes the skills they learned from writing platform with the skills they will work on in advanced speech in the fall where they will be asked to pick a speech someone else wrote and interpret it into their own unique performance with the help of our coaches.
