Intro to Speech and Debate

Interested in public speaking but don't know if you want to take the plunge into competitive speech and debate? Want to learn basic public speaking skills to utilize in your daily life? Well, join us as we guide students through the basics of public speaking and argumentation. We will work with students on improving their presentation and delivery skills via games and exercises in class! Students will work on being able to talk with limited time to prepare on subjects they will speak or debate about. Along with that, we will provide students feedback on their: diction, pace of delivery, tone of voice, volume, body language, eye contact, and more! This is a great class for beginners seeking a chance to work on public speaking without committing to competition! So, join us this session and learn to speak up and be heard! (Note: $5 materials fee)
