    Information

There have been many changes in Speech and Debate as we have known it. Unfortunately, we could not host our usual three tournaments this year through Muwekma Ohlone and Horace Mann, but we are hosting a scrimmage for middle school students.

    Plans are as follows:
    Date: Saturday, May 15
    Platform: 8x8
Events: OO, Impromptu, Expos, PF, LD. All events will be live. The time limits will follow high school rules. We will be using the April topic for PF, and the March/April topic for LD.
    • PF April Topic - Resolved: The benefits of the International Monetary Fund outweigh the harms.
    • LD March/April Topic - Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee universal child care.
Level of Competition: novice to intermediate
Awards: Students will be mailed certificates based on judges' rankings of superior, excellent, and very good.
    Registration: Double entries are allowed.

Further details about the tournament will be posted in the coming weeks. Thank you so much and we hope to see you in May.

    Entry Price

    One event $55
    Two events $60

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE A JUDGE AT THIS TOURNAMENT

Registration will not be complete until payment is received.
