ONLINE NON-COMPETITIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
We do not want our child to compete and are more focused on the educational experience of public speaking than competition. The goal for us is to get our child to be more expressive when sharing their ideas/thoughts at home, at school and when they enter the workforce. - GRADES 5-12
Class Descriptions for the new students program:
☻Introduction to public speaking and argumentation ☻Daily guided lectures for their respective speech and events. ☻Students will learn the basic fundamentals of public speaking (body language, volume, diction hand gestures) via limited prep and memorized oratorical events. ☻Students will learn the art of persuasion and critical thinking via spar and congressional debate. Pre-Requisites: NONE! This class is designed for students with little to no experience in speech & debate, and who are looking to improve their public speaking skills, confidence, and critical thinking skills. |
Class Descriptions for the returning students program:
Students returning to us from the summer or fall will continue working on various forms of speech and debate including the formats taught last semester. Students will now learn about more advanced techniques and skills of public speaking and argumentation while also being introduced to more complex or nuanced topics Students from summer should register in Returning Educational Speech and Debate 1 Students who were new last Fall 2021 and want to continue should enroll in Returning Educational Speech and Debate 2 Students who were in our program since Spring 2021 or before, should continue in Returning Educational Speech and Debate 3 Have taken an intro course elsewhere? If your child has prior experience and does not plan on competing, let us know and we can let you know based on work samples and video recording of your child giving speech that you can submit for us to evaluate. |
Note: We will accept the first 12 students. Anyone who registers afterwards will be put on a waitlist.
