Angela Shalizi

Angela Shalizi began competing in speech and debate in middle school (2012), coached by the founders of the Golden State Academy. She primarily competed in Public Forum debate, Dramatic Interpretation, and Oratorical Interpretation for Mission San Jose High School from 2013-2017. Angela received many speaker awards and reached elimination rounds in various tournaments throughout these competitive years. She also received two bids to the tournament of champions for Public Forum debate, and qualified to States in dramatic interpretation for Speech. Angela is currently pre-Med, majoring in chemistry at Ohlone College. Along with coaching speech and debate for the past two years, she has been tutoring Math at Ohlone College and volunteering at Kaiser Permanente.
