​BEGINNER COMPETITIVE SPEECH AND DEBATE

​Dates: 
Session 1
June 28th-July 10th
Session 2
July 12th-July 24th
Session 3
July 26th-August 7th (Half-day and full-day options available)
Session 4*
August 9th- August 21st (Full day only)
*recommended for those looking to get ready to compete for the season
Times:
AM: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM (Session 1, 2, 3 only)
PM: 1:00 PM-4:30 PM (Session 1, 2, 3 only)
FULL-DAY: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM (Session 4 only)
Students will be required to take two weeks of class (one week of speech and one for debate) These must be taken in the same session. There will be no exceptions to this policy

Price:  
$825 half day camps
$1175 full day camps 


Note: No rising 5th or 6th graders in this program. Please sign up for our elementary program or the educational based program described below.

BEGINNER EDUCATIONAL SPEECH AND DEBATE

No full day options for educational classes.

BEGINNER - EDUCATIONAL

Camp Description:

☻Daily guided lectures for their respective speech and events. 
☻IMP (Impromptu Speaking) OI (Oratorical Interpretation), - limited to 5 - 7 minutes.  Students will be introduced to the spar debate formats.
☻Tournament-style Showcase on the final day of camp. All parents and family members are highly encouraged to attend.

Pre-Requisites:
NONE! This camp is designed for students with little to no experience in speech & debate, and who are looking to improve their public speaking skills, confidence, and critical thinking skills. 

NOTE: Students looking to continue in our classes during the school year for educational speech and debate must show a basic mastery of the material learned over the summer during the first week of class in the Fall.

​Camp Description:

☻Daily guided lectures for their respective speech and events. 
☻NSDA & CHSSA approved speech events will be offered: IMP (Impromptu Speaking) OI (Oratorical Interpretation), HI (Humorous Interpretation), and DI (Dramatic Interpretation)
​
☻Tournament-style Showcase on the final day of camp. All parents and family members are highly encouraged to attend.

☻Will be presented a series of lectures on the debate format and structure of argumentation within the format.

Pre-Requisites:

This camp is designed for students with little to no experience in speech, but who are preparing to compete at tournaments during the school year.

NOTE: Students taking this camp to join our competitive program during the school year must show a basic mastery of the material learned over the summer during the first week of class in the Fall
