    SCJFL 1ST QUARTER DEBATE ONLY TOURNAMENT​

    Information

    Greetings!

    On Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 is the date for the 2021 SCJFL 1st Quarter Debate Only Tournament, and we hope that your school or organization will be joining us. 

    Location: Online

    Events:
    Lincoln-Douglas Debate:
    • Resolved: The member nations of the World Trade Organization ought to reduce intellectual property protections for medicines.
    ​​Public Forum Debate:
    • Resolved: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization should substantially increase its defense commitments to the Baltic states.

    Drops/changes to entry: 
    All changes after the deadline will be charged a $10 nuisance fee for each change. All drops after the deadline will be charged a $10 nuisance fee on top of the unrefunded entry fee. Judge changes after October 18th will be charged a $50 judge nuisance fee.  Judge drops after October 20th will be charged a $100 judge no-show fee.  

    Judging Requirements: 
    Please remember that judge training is the responsibility of the judge himself/herself. 
    Judges who do not accept their assigned ballot will be charged a $20 no-show fee for the first offense. The second offense will be $40.  Each subsequent no-show from the judge will warrant a $50 charge.

    ​Entry Price

    One event $60

    If you don't provide a judge, you will pay an additional $90.
    Each person in a PF team would be responsible of providing their own judge, so one PF team would need to either provide two judges, both pay the judge fee, or one of each option.


    Registration will not be complete until payment is received.
     
    NOTE: We will charge set up fees if we have to create tabroom.com accounts for judges. It is recommended you do so on your own.

    9:00 – Round 1
    10:30 – Round 2
    12:00 – Round 3
    2:00 –  Round 4
    3:30 - Round 5
    5:00  - Round 6
    7:00 – Awards

    Drop Fee

    Changes or drops after Monday, October 19th, 2020 at 5pm, PST will be charged a $10 nuisance fee. Drop requests should be made to Victor and Nadia.

    Please do not drop out last minute to avoid being charged these fees.
